End of the week reads

I have had so many people ask me about Minimalism. They all want to know how on earth to start!
When you are faced with all this stuff in your home and have decided to make the jump… it’s daunting! I mean… where in the holy heck of hummus do you even start!?
Well, I thought i’d put together a list of blog posts to help you all navigate Minimalism, from the beginning…

First up, we have the oracles of the minimalist lifestyle. No other than The Minimalists! I thought it would be a great idea to introduce what minimalism actually is… so read their first blog post here.

Ok that sounds good right? But what are you going to do now? Courtney Carver has written a great post listing 7 tiny steps for beginners to help get you started. Usually, once you begin it gets easier and easier, so pick out what you’ll try first, and go for it!
A great place to start (as good a place as any) is with your wardrobe! Courtney is famous for project 333. I loved reading about her experiment at work, and she makes so much sense when it comes to living with less.

Another fab starter post is written by Chris at Two Less Things. There are some brilliant ideas on how to kick start a life less cluttered, so go have a nose!

I have only very recently found Jennifer’s blog at Simply Fierce and I’m really enjoying getting stuck in! Let’s reverse things now, I have shown you posts about how to get started… but what about what NOT to do? Although I believe there is no right or wrong way to become minimalist, she raises some excellent points here.

Lastly, I want to introduce you to a blogger I hold dear to my heart. She is a respectful parent *check* an unschooler *double check* AND a minimalist *triple check!* Racheous shows you round her gorgeous home here. I love seeing what minimalism looks like for other people and it really inspires me to do more decluttering on my minimalism journey!
